Does My Small Business Need a Website?
By Daniel · September 21, 2026
Your small business needs a website if customers find you by searching, if anyone has ever asked you to send photos of previous work, or if you lose bids to competitors for reasons you cannot name. If none of those are true, you probably do not need one yet.
Businesses that get every job from one general contractor, or that are booked eight weeks out and turning work away, have a different bottleneck. A site will not fix it.
Here is the test. Search your own trade and your own town on your phone, the way a customer would. Open the top three results. If those businesses have sites and you do not, you are not competing on price. You are competing on whether you appear to exist.
