Getting started
How Long Does a Website Take to Build?
By Daniel · September 21, 2026
A five page business website takes about two weeks: a couple of days of questions, a day for photographs, four days of building, a couple of days for you to read it properly, and a few days for changes and launch.
Almost every delay comes from the same two places, and neither is the designer. The first is photographs, because that needs a day when your shop or yard or van actually looks the way you want customers to see it. The second is your domain name, especially if it is controlled by a company you have already left.
If you want it to run on time, chase your domain login on day one rather than day twelve, and send your feedback in one message rather than six.
